Aberdeen Football Club's SFA Community Programme
Aberdeen Football Club's SFA Community Programme is built around four key pillars: Football coaching; education; health; social. By utilising its position in the community Aberdeen interacts with its stakeholders principally in the areas of football coaching, supporting education initiatives, health message delivery and via social gatherings and the promotion of good citizenship. This enables us to deliver the SFA's aim of helping to "provide the best possible framework for attracting young people to our national game, and then giving them every opportunity to develop to the best of their ability." The benchmark of the programme is not the number of players that go on to play professionally after starting out by taking part at one of the many community centres, but by the number of people who want to become more involved with the game on a regular basis.
