Jimmy Calderwood was delighted with today's win as his team continue too defy the odds with a strong finish to the SPL campaign.

"We made it difficult for ourselves at times. Our passing should have been better, but we created by far the best chances. Craig's team have had a great season - it was always going to be difficult as we were missing eight players and I couldn't even fill the bench.

"We took the lead after a good strike by Richard. Then when we went 2-0 up that should have been the game finished. It was good skill by Swanson but a bad goal from our point of view. They got a massive lift from that. Then they almost equalised straight from the kick off. Those types of moments have damaged our season. We could have gone from 2-0 to 2-2 within a minute but we got away with it.

"They are big physically side so are always going to be dangerous from set pieces and they caused us a few problems. However it was a good result - we have not been in the equation for third spot all season yet we now have a chance. We are still relying on other results but we just have to win our final two games and see where that takes us.

"It is pleasing to win games. Queen of the South is still a massive disappointment but we have come back well. We should have got a point against Celtic and we have now beaten Hibs and Dundee United. I have to say Touzani is a gem of a lad and I was very pleased for him today. "

Jimmy also confirmed that Barry Nicholson's injury is not as bad as was first feared and hopefully he will be ok for the trip to Motherwell next Saturday.
