Aberdeen Football Club would like to express its sincere thanks to supporters for their patience regarding the sale of tickets for the UEFA Cup group matches, in particular the game against Atletico Madrid in Spain later this month.

In finalising the criteria for the allocation of the Madrid tickets, the Club tried to be as fair as possible and took on board the substantial level of feedback received from fans and again many thanks to all who took the time to contribute.

In terms of the phone system on Saturday morning, we are aware that many supporters were unable to get through to an operator due to the inordinately high volume of calls being placed within a short period of time. Although the phones were fully manned and staff did try to deal with calls as quickly and efficiently as possible, there were inevitably supporters who were unsuccessful.

AFC is well aware that demand for tickets for the Madrid match is far in excess of the current supply and the Club will continue to speak with Atletico in an attempt to secure additional tickets in an area properly segregated for visiting supporters.
